Emotional Intelligence

This workshop will introduce you to the foundation principles and brain science of Emotional Intelligence (known as “EI” or “EQ”). Understand what your brain does under pressure and how that affects your behaviour, your reactions, your choices and the impact you have on others. Our workshop gives you the opportunity to increase your self-awareness, teaches how to manage your emotions in different situations and enables you to connect better with others.

Topics include:

  • How the brain works - an introduction to neuroscience
  • What happens to your brain during stress and trigger moments
  • Increasing awareness of situations that put you at risk of having your emotions lead to unhelpful choices and regrettable decisions
  • Understanding your own EI competencies and areas to improve
  • Practical strategies to help you respond more skilfully as pressure, tension and complexity increase
  • Suspending judgment - become “more curious and less certain” - to effectively engage and influence others
  • Coaching to help others to generate their own EQ
  • Practising techniques through interactive exercises
